Job summary

AgeCare in Parkhill, Ontario, invites excited new graduate RPNs to join our long-term care home and start a career with impact through the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN). Up to $8,000 grant and relocation support make this a compelling entry point.

As an RPN you will work with the care team, liaise with physicians, support residents, and help lead Personal Support Workers, with a strong focus on geriatric care and safety.

Qualifications

• Geriatric/rehabilitation/long-term care nursing background.
• Familiarity with Ontario health acts and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice and other pertinent statutes.
• Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nursing care in accordance with required medical care.
• Liaise with physicians and health care team to monitor resident status.
• Provide direction to Personal Support Workers on the unit.
• Participate in shift reports to inform team of changes in resident status.
