Position Overview

We have a temporary opening (10 months contract) for a Network Support Analyst to work for one of our clients (subcontracting opportunity). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco network hardware and be proficient in managing networking components within Microsoft Azure, including firewalls, load balancers, and virtual networks. This role is critical to maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performing network infrastructure across hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Manage and optimize Microsoft Azure networking components including firewalls, load balancers, NSGs, VNets, and ExpressRoute.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for network-related issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Collaborate with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to design and implement network solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts involving networking infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to network security and operations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in network support or administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking hardware, configurations, and protocols (CCNA or higher certification preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure networking services (firewalls, load balancers, virtual networks, and VPNs).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Azure Monitor).
  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.

Preferred

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalent.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments (on-prem to Azure).
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Terraform, etc.) is a plus.
