Job summary

RATIONAL is seeking a results-driven sales leader to manage relationships with consultants, dealer designers and kitchen planners across the country. The role requires strong communication, strategic planning and the ability to drive growth in a dynamic market.

The candidate will oversee training, certifications, and product education for iCombi, iVario, and iHexagon lines, while collaborating with Marketing on market analyses and ensuring brand leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years in sales, sales management or business development.
  • 2-3 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience with key account management is a benefit.
  • Skilled in presenting technically sophisticated manufactured goods.
  • Excellent computer skills including Outlook, SalesForce (or other CRM system), Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Map Point.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all country and province certifications are obtained and valid.
  • Understand iCombi, iVario, and iHexagon product lines, along with ConnectedCooking.
  • Increase the number of projects/organizations specifying RATIONAL as a preferred brand.
  • Expand relationships with consultants, dealer designers and kitchen planners through networking, training, and industry groups/associations.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to consultants on RATIONAL products; be a trusted asset.
  • Improve ConnectedCooking registrations and online units.
  • Act as primary resource for installations, design, and escalation situations nationally.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on market analysis.
  • Position RATIONAL as a thought leader and innovator.
  • Deliver product education and competitive intelligence for sales processes during launches.
  • Develop consultant/dealer designer business plans with sales teams.
  • Provide field assistance to advance relationships with local consultants/dealer designers.

Job description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for ensuring all country and province certifications are obtained and valid
  • Interictally understand the iCombi, iVario, and iHexagon product lines, along with ConnectedCooking.
  • Increase the number of projects/organizations that specify RATIONAL as a preferred brand.
  • Expand and improve relationships with influential commercial kitchen consultants, dealer designers and kitchen planners through networking, presentations, training programs, and participation in industry groups/associations.
  • Provide ongoing education, training, information and support to consultants on RATIONAL products; become a known, trusted and visible asset for this audience.
  • Improve ConnectedCooking registrations and online units.
  • The primary resource for installations, design, and escalation situations nationally
  • Work closely with the Marketing team on market analysis.
  • Position RATIONAL as a thought leader, innovator, resource and best-in-class manufacturer.
  • Provide ongoing RATIONAL product education, training, support, and competitive intelligence to equip RATIONAL sales process to interface with consultants and dealer designers; especially during new product launches
  • Develop and implement consultant/dealer designer business plans in conjunction with sales teams.
  • Provide in the field assistance to advance relationships with local consultants/dealer designers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage relations with consultants, dealer designers and kitchen planners
  • Manage relations across processes

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 - 7 years of previous sales, sales management or business development experience
  • 2 - 3 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with key account management a benefit
  • Skilled in the presentation of technically sophisticated manufactured goods
  • Excellent computer skills (Outlook, SalesForce (or other CRM system), Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Map Point)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to speak, read, write, understand English and French.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • At least 60% travel required, typically including continuous overnight stays
  • Occasional international travel

SUBSTANCE ADDICTION:

  • It is required from the employee to follow all corporate guidelines, using common-sense while interacting with peers, leadership team and customers
  • Must also make sure not to be under the influence of any substances while on duty. In case of substance addiction, employee is expected to communicate the company for the suitable accommodations to be made under what is required by law.
