AFL Integria is seeking a MxU Installer to support reliable, high-speed network connections across Canada, with tasks spanning indoor wiring to outdoor plant cabling. You will collaborate with field service leadership to meet safety, productivity and service standards.

The role requires hands-on installation, use of power tools, and fiber testing to ensure high-quality results for residential and business customers in Calgary and surrounding communities.

Qualifications

• Telecommunications experience preferred (inside/outside plant).
• Fluent in English (read/write/speak).
• Legally eligible to work in Canada; background check required.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license preferred; may operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service excellence at all sites.
• Install GPON wiring in MDUs (main equipment rooms to suites).
• Place cables from outside to inside via aerial/underground paths.
• Safely operate hand and power tools and test equipment.
• Test fiber connections with optical power meters and troubleshoot issues.
• Handle administrative tasks and expense reports.
• Maintain safety and quality on job sites.

AFL Integria is looking for an MxU Installer to join our team and support the delivery of reliable, high-speed network connections to communities across Canada. The MxU Installer is responsible for installing GPON wiring in multi-dwelling and multi-tenant properties for residential and business customers. This role supports the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of inside wiring and outside plant cabling while working closely with field service leadership to meet safety, productivity, and service standards.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTING OUTCOMES:

• Provide unparalleled customer service excellence
• Ensure diligence with construction site safety through safety orientations with Site Supervisors as required based
  on job site
• Install residential and business Fiber lines from Main Equipment Rooms (MER) to each individual suite
• Place cables from outside to inside via aerial or underground paths
• Operate power tools in a safe manner, respectful of client’s property
• Maintain excellent working condition of Test Equipment
• Conduct Optical Power Meter testing of fiber connections;
• Troubleshoot technical issues swiftly and accurately;
• Work indoors and outdoors at customer locations and in manholes as required;
• Responsible for administrative tasks, including expense reports
• Help build and maintain positive relations within the team
• Protect organizations’ values by keeping information confidential
• Enhance organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests and exploring
  opportunities to add value to job accomplishment
• Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge & Experience

• Telecommunications experience related to inside or outside plant preferred
• Cabling and wiring experience in fields such as structured wiring, alarming wiring or equivalent preferred
• Valid class 5 driver’s license preferred. May be required to operate Company Vehicle and meet AFL’s internal
  Motor Vehicle policy

Required Knowledge & Experience

• Strong mechanical, technical and analytical ability
• Ability to do fine, precise work with their hands
• Ability to work on extension ladders or step ladders
• Proficient in operating hand and power tools, and test equipment
• Normal color vision to work with color-coded wiring
• Ability to effectively handle both favorable and unfavorable customer interactions
• Fluent in English (reading, writing and conversational)
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Successful criminal background check is required
