Job summary

Port Hope is seeking a Resource Developer to support municipal departments through the grant lifecycle. The role involves researching funding programs, developing and submitting grant applications, administering funded projects, and preparing regular reports for Council and staff.

It also covers donations, sponsorships, and continuous improvement of grant processes. The position requires post-secondary education in a related field, knowledge of municipal operations, and experience in grant

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education in Community Development, Communications, Economic Development, Business or Public Administration, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Municipal operations, governance and budget processes preferred.
• Previous work experience in grant writing or communications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grant Research and Intake: research funding programs and liaison with staff to identify priorities and opportunities.
• Grant Application Development: prepare and submit funding applications with required documentation by deadlines.
• Grant Administration: coordinate funding announcements, track grants and maintain records in the Records Management program.
• Reporting: manage internal reporting schedules and provide updates to staff and Council committees.
• Donations & Sponsorships: act as main contact and coordinate opportunities and policies.
• General: maintain confidentiality, ethics and professional development; support superior in delivering services.
