Job summary

The City of Martensville is seeking a Permanent Full Time Bylaw Enforcement Officer. The role reports to the Fire Chief and enforces municipal bylaws, The Cities Act and related provincial legislation with fairness and professionalism.

The incumbent independently handles complaints, conducts inspections, gathers evidence and manages files through resolution, including court proceedings when required. This is a stand-alone enforcement position requiring judgement and discretion.

Qualifications

• Experience enforcing municipal bylaws and related legislation.
• Knowledge of The Cities Act, The Planning and Development Act, and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive and investigate complaints and enforce bylaws.
• Conduct inspections and investigations; gather evidence.
• Attend hearings and resolve cases through provincial bylaw court or other processes.
