Job summary

Westridge Iron in Vernon, BC, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join the finance team. Reporting to the Controller, the role supports day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close across eight+ entities.

This position requires strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping support role.
• Post-secondary coursework in accounting, business, or finance is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Track and code project related expenses by job.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly reports (LEM).
• Pull WorkSafe Clearance letters and assist with intercompany accounting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures and payroll admin.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and support variance analysis.
