Job summary

Englobe is looking for a senior Project Manager to oversee multi-discipline projects in defence, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. The role requires coordinating internal teams and external subconsultants across Canada, with a focus on schedule, budget, and quality.

The successful candidate will have a strong client-service approach and a willingness to travel to project sites or meetings. Based anywhere in Canada with remote work flexibility, this role supports Englobe’s defence

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, construction management, project management, or other related field.
• 10+ years post graduation & 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in consulting engineering, infrastructure, buildings, institutional, federal, Defence, or multidisciplinary environments.
• Experience managing multi-discipline engineering projects and coordinating internal/external teams.
• Experience with Defence Construction Canada/Department of National Defence or secure infrastructure is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety culture on project delivery.
• Manage multi-discipline projects as prime consultant for Defence Construction Canada/NDID.
• Lead planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and close-out per client requirements.
• Coordinate activities across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, environmental teams.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, deliverables, and client expectations.
• Prepare and review proposals, work plans, budgets, schedules and reports.
• Participate in client and project meetings, progress reporting, issue resolution.
• Coordinate subconsultants, contractors, and internal resources for delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
• Support contract administration, site reviews, billing, and close-out activities.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety culture in all aspects of project delivery;
• Manage multi-discipline engineering projects as the prime consultant for Defence Construction Canada and the Department of National Defence;
• Lead the planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and close-out of assigned projects in accordance with company and client requirements;
• Coordinate project activities across multiple disciplines, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, environmental, and other technical teams, as required;
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, deliverables, and client expectations;
• Prepare and review proposals, work plans, budgets, schedules, reports, and other project documentation;
• Participate in client meetings, project meetings, progress reporting, and issue resolution;
• Coordinate subconsultants, contractors, and internal project resources to support successful project delivery;
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, technical teams, and project partners;
• Support contract administration, site reviews, project reporting, billing, and project close-out activities, as required;
• The successful candidate may be based anywhere in Canada and can work remotely (or in one of our local offices). This role supports Englobe’s Defence operations working on projects across the country.

What Makes You Unique

• Degree or diploma in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, construction management, project management, or another related field;
• Minimum of 10 years post graduation & 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in consulting engineering, infrastructure, buildings, institutional, federal, Defence, or multidisciplinary project environments;
• Experience managing multi-discipline engineering projects, including coordination of internal technical teams and external subconsultants;
• Experience with Defence Construction Canada, Department of National Defence, federal government, institutional, or secure infrastructure projects would be considered a strong asset;
• Professional designation, eligibility for registration, or project management certification would be considered an asset;
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, change management, and risk management;
• Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment;
• Strong client service orientation with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships;
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to project sites or client meetings, as required.
