Job summary

Descartes Systems Group Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to deliver accurate, timely payroll across multiple European countries.

You will work with HR, Finance and external providers to ensure compliant, end-to-end payroll processing, including validation of prorations and sick pay. You will leverage Excel and payroll systems (SAP/SuccessFactors) to reconcile data, manage the approval workflow, and resolve payroll queries with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes from inputs through reconciliation and approval.
• Strong knowledge of payroll calculations such as salary prorations and sick pay.
• Advanced Excel skills with formulas and lookups for data reconciliation.
• Experience with HR/payroll systems (SAP and/or SuccessFactors helpful).
• Ability to handle multi-country European payrolls and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, timely payroll across multiple European countries.
• Prepare and validate monthly payroll inputs with HR and providers.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, analyze variances and provide commentary.
• Validate payroll calculations and ensure proper documentation and audit trails.
• Own payroll queries through resolution and support related HR/Finance teams.
