Job summary

Cognizant in Toronto, ON is seeking a MuleSoft Integration Business Analyst to drive requirement elicitation and translate business needs into technical specs. You will work with Salesforce, MuleSoft, nCino and enterprise integrations, create user stories, manage backlogs, and collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality integration solutions.

The role requires strong MuleSoft expertise, API-led connectivity, and experience in manufacturing or similar complex environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead requirement-elicitation workshops with stakeholders and leaders.
• Translate needs into functional/technical specs for MuleSoft and Salesforce.
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases and specifications.
• Manage Jira cards, backlog, sprint planning and traceability.
• Develop use cases across MuleSoft APIs, Salesforce and nCino.
• Define integration scenarios with maps, data flows and end-to-end behavior.
• Coordinate system integration testing, regression testing and UAT.
• Administer reports/dashboards and support reviews and release readiness.

MuleSoft Integration Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, ON

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct requirement-elicitation workshops with line-of-business leaders, product owners, subject-matter experts, and process managers to identify and document current and future-state business processes.
• Analyze business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical requirements for MuleSoft, Salesforce, banking and financial-services applications, and enterprise integrations.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and testing teams to convert approved requirements into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and solution specifications.
• Create and maintain Jira cards or user stories, manage the backlog, support sprint planning and refinement, and ensure traceability throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle.
• Develop use cases and facilitate team-based resolution of functional issues across Salesforce, nCino, managed packages, MuleSoft APIs, and integrated applications.
• Define user-experience and integration scenarios using process maps, data mappings, and API flow diagrams that clearly describe end-to-end functional behaviour.
• Plan, coordinate, and actively participate in system integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing for Salesforce environments and associated integrations; track defects through closure.
• Administer and collaborate on reports and dashboards for business sales and nCino teams, validate data accuracy, and support stakeholder reviews, demonstrations, and release readiness.

Required Skills

1. Strong expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including integration development, API-led connectivity, and application network design.
2. Hands-on experience with MuleSoft platform administration, performance tuning, and security best practices.
3. Proven ability to design and architect scalable integration solutions using modern design patterns and architectural principles.
4. Deep understanding of integration needs within industrial manufacturing or similar complex enterprise environments.
5. Strong skills in requirements gathering, solution structuring, and estimation/resource planning for integration projects.
6. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management, cross-functional collaboration, and driving execution excellence.
7. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
8. Relevant MuleSoft certifications, such as MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect and MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 100,000 - $ 130,000 CAD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
