Job summary

New Value Solutions is seeking Senior Microsoft 365 / Power Platform Developers to design, develop, and implement enterprise solutions within a Microsoft 365 ecosystem. You will leverage Power Platform, Graph API, Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Dataverse, and Power BI to deliver scalable solutions.

The role involves working on remote Canada-wide projects with occasional onsite work in Ottawa, and requires strong emphasis on solution design, integration, and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing and developing solutions in a Microsoft ecosystem.
• Current PL-400 or PL-600 certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Understand business goals, users, processes, data requirements, automation needs, and reporting needs.
• Map requirements to Microsoft 365 capabilities and patterns.
• Recommend solution patterns using Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Power Platform, Dataverse, Power BI, Viva, and Copilot.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Develop integrations with Microsoft Graph API, Planner API, Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Azure AD.
• Build Canvas Power Apps and components using the PowerApps Component Framework.

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking Senior Microsoft 365 / Power Platform Developers to support the design, development, integration, and implementation of enterprise solutions within a Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

The successful candidates will bring extensive Microsoft development experience together with strong hands-on expertise across Power Platform, Microsoft Graph API, Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Dataverse, Power BI, and related development technologies. The role includes understanding business needs, recommending appropriate Microsoft technology patterns, developing scalable and reusable solutions, and supporting knowledge transfer.

The engagement may involve remote work within Canada as well as onsite work in Ottawa, depending on project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to understand business goals, users, processes, data requirements, automation needs, reporting requirements, and opportunities for reusable components.
• Assess business requirements and map them to appropriate Microsoft 365 capabilities.
• Recommend solution and technology patterns using Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Power Platform, Dataverse, Power BI, Viva, and Copilot.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Develop integrations involving Microsoft Graph API, Planner API, Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, Azure Active Directory, and enterprise data sources.
• Develop Canvas Power Apps and custom components using the PowerApps Component Framework.
• Build reusable and scalable components to support sustainable enterprise solutions.
• Produce solution design and support documentation and provide knowledge transfer and hands-on walkthroughs to technical teams.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience within the last 15 years designing and developing solutions within a Microsoft ecosystem.
• Current PL-400 Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate or PL-600 Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification.

5+ years of experience within the last 10 years developing solutions involving:

• Microsoft Planner functionality using the Planner API.
• SharePoint using Microsoft Graph API, including Drive, List, and Site.
• Microsoft Teams using Microsoft Graph API.
• Power Automate Cloud flows using standard and custom Microsoft connectors for automation and orchestration.
• Azure Active Directory Single Sign-On integration.
• Microsoft Teams Canvas Power Apps and custom PowerApps Component Framework components.
• Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Enterprise/Common Dataverse data.

5+ years of Microsoft ecosystem development experience using:

• Visual Studio with C#, .NET, and Python.
• Visual Studio Code with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Experience developing solutions using one or more of the following considered an asset:

• AI Agents / Copilot.
• Microsoft Teams Message Extensions.
• Microsoft Teams Adaptive Cards.
• Microsoft Teams SDK.
• Microsoft Teams Developer CLI.
• Microsoft Teams Toolkit and/or Microsoft 365 Agents Toolkit integrated with Visual Studio Code.
