Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Mortgage Renewal Specialist in Canada to proactively advise customers on mortgage options, renewals and financing needs. You will engage customers through various channels, applying approved procedures to meet sales and service objectives, while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes selling, cross-selling and providing a high-quality customer experience in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience and/or certification in related field preferred
• Knowledge of personal lending and home financing products
• Knowledge of competitive marketplace and trends in product offerings
• Knowledge of contact centre operational processes and policies
• Knowledge of call centre technology, processes and metrics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good organization skills
• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
• Analytical and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on mortgage renewal and financing needs to retain and grow share of wallet.
• Drive the sales process for inbound and outbound customer contacts.
• Integrate marketing promotions into customer conversations when appropriate.
• Manage transactional outcomes or refer to other groups as needed.
• Negotiate home financing pricing to balance customer value and profitability.
• Understand customer needs and offer suitable mortgage renewal and investment options.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
• Escalate complex issues to managers and ensure proper documentation.
