Job summary

Vancity is seeking a Mortgage Development Manager to grow new mortgage business from a strong client base and a wide referral network. The role involves coordinating with branches to ensure seamless onboarding and maximizing cross-sell opportunities, while meeting clients across Vancouver Island.

The position emphasizes independence, teamwork, and a focus on member-focused service with a performance-based compensation structure.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in mortgage sales, supported by a strong, existing book of business and an established network of referral sources.
• Researching and monitoring local communities for new member acquisition to build profitable mortgage business and achieve sales targets.
• Advising and coordinating with the branch network to ensure seamless handoffs and maximize cross-sell opportunities.
• Building and maintaining the referral source network with external contacts (lawyers, solicitors, accountants, developers, realtors)
• Coordinating referrals to Specialist roles to meet service and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients across Vancouver Island to discuss needs and opportunities.
• Collaborating with branch network to ensure smooth transition from Mortgage Development Manager to branches.
• Developing and maintaining a robust referral network with external professionals.
