Job summary

Vancity is seeking a Mortgage Development Manager focused on Indigenous lending to grow the mortgage portfolio through community connections, partnerships, and education sessions. Qualifications

• Post-secondary education as listed.
• Minimum 5 years of mortgage lending or related experience.
• Experience building Indigenous partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of residential mortgage products and lending principles.
• Willingness to obtain appropriate designation or license.

Responsibilities

• Generating new mortgage opportunities through community engagement and relationships.
• Researching local Indigenous communities to acquire new members and grow mortgage business.
• Developing business development plans to grow volumes and relationships.
• Building partnerships with Indigenous governments and housing organizations.
• Collaborating with branches to ensure seamless member onboarding.
• Monitoring Indigenous housing and lending trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Providing insights to shape Vancity's Indigenous lending strategy.
• Representing Vancity at community events and partner engagements.
• Maintaining an external referral network of professionals.
