The Opportunity

• Based in our Vancouver downtown office, reporting to the Vice President, British Columbia Region Leader, Commercial Mortgages.
• Ideal candidates will have experience in commercial mortgage administration, loan servicing, and reviewing mortgage or real estate legal documents.

What You Will Do

1. Coordinate with solicitors, legal departments, the Mortgage Servicing Centre, and other departments on loan transactions.
2. Review security documents, property insurance, and obtain reliance letters for third-party reports.
3. Collaborate with internal teams and external legal counsel to facilitate mortgage loan processes.
4. Review legal closing documents for various mortgage transactions.
5. Manage discharge documents upon loan repayment.
6. Assist in managing a large portfolio of commercial mortgages with a small team.
7. Participate in weekly meetings to review loan pipelines and maturities.
8. Organize physical and electronic loan files.
9. Serve as Business Continuity representative for the Canadian Mortgages team.
10. Provide excellent customer service promptly.

Who You Are

• Experienced in commercial mortgage administration and legal document review.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and knowledgeable in Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Capable of multitasking and managing priorities.
• Energetic, diplomatic, and team-oriented.
• Independent worker with minimal supervision and adaptability to interruptions.

Compensation

The base pay range is $45,000 – $65,000, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. Additional incentive plans and benefits are available.
