Job summary

48Hour Discovery seeks a Lab Technician to plan and execute molecular biology assays, including biopanning of phage-display libraries and cloning. You will support project progress, develop procedures from project specs, and assist with NGS samples and data analysis.

The role requires 1+ year in academia or industry, experience with PCR/qPCR and gel electrophoresis, and strong organizational skills. Peptide chemistry exposure is a plus; join a Canadian biopharma team in Edmonton.

Qualifications

• BSc in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology or related field with 1+ year experience.
• Experience PCR/qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and cloning.
• Experience with peptides is a plus; strong data analysis and organization.

Responsibilities

• Biopanning of phage-display libraries on proteins and cells.
• Clone and modify phage-display libraries.
• Plan and execute experiments to meet deadlines.
• Prepare NGS samples and assist with data analysis.
• Maintain records, inventory, and lab equipment.
