Job summary

Nomic is seeking a Profiling Lab Operations Associate in Montreal to perform high-throughput multiplex immunoassays quantifying hundreds to thousands of protein biomarkers in cell culture supernatants and human specimens using the nELISA platform. This hands-on role requires meticulous data quality, teamwork, and strict adherence to GLP and biosafety procedures.

You will manage sample prep, instrument maintenance, LIMS data entry, and routine batch records while supporting reagent manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, chemistry, biotechnology or related field.
• 3+ years in a GLP-certified laboratory.
• 1+ year in a BSL-2 laboratory.
• 6 months hands-on experience with flow cytometry.
• Experience with automated liquid handlers is a plus.
• Strong time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Process cell culture supernatants and human samples using high-throughput workflows.
• Work in BSL-1 and BSL-2 lab environments with biosafety procedures.
• Prepare assay reagents and consumables for daily operations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment (plate washers, liquid handlers, cytometers, centrifuges).
• Record and manage data in LIMS and complete assay batch records.
• Support manufacturing of critical assay reagents.
• Perform routine lab operational tasks, inventory checks, aliquoting reagents, restocking, and cleaning.
