Job summary

Homestead Land Holdings Limited in Kitchener, ON is seeking a Cleaner to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our spaces. You will regularly clean lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, laundry rooms, and amenity spaces, ensure garbage and recycling rooms are well maintained, and support a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

This 40-hour week includes weekend shifts every other week.

Qualifications

• Previous professional cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg (e.g., cleaning equipment, bags).
• Reliability, attention to detail, and safe work practices are essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum and maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, laundry rooms and amenity spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of elevators, lounges, laundry rooms, and fitness rooms.
• Tend to tenant units upon vacancy (bathrooms, kitchens, ovens and fridges).
• Perform winter snow removal as needed.
• Undertake other duties as required.

Compensation Range (includes salary & shift premium): $41,500-$47,000

Overview

As a Cleaner at Homestead, you will help us to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our spaces. This includes regularly cleaning lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, laundry rooms, and amenity spaces. You will ensure garbage and recycling rooms are well maintained. Help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents and visitors while following established cleaning routines.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, Mopping, Dusting, Vacuuming, etc.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of elevators, lounges, laundry rooms, Fitness rooms
• Tenant units upon vacancy (including bathrooms, kitchens (ovens & fridges)
• Winter snow removal
• Other duties as required
