Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Mobile Security professional in Vancouver, BC for a part-time role. The position requires patrolling designated areas, monitoring CCTV and alarms, and enforcing security protocols to ensure safety of people and property.

The ideal candidate will have a BC Security Guard license, be at least 25 years old, and possess high school completion. Shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings (1700-0100).

Qualifications

• Must have BC Security Guard license and be eligible to work in Canada.
• Must be at least 25 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with access control, alarm monitoring and CCTV is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity and protect people and property.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, responding promptly to breaches or disturbances.
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors and entry points to ensure compliance with protocols.
• Interact with clients, visitors and staff, providing directions and enforcing security policies.

Requirement:

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid BC security guard license .
• Must be eligible to work in Canada40 hours per week
• Must be able to provide a clear driver's abstract and BC Full class 5 licence.
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions:

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
• Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
