Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Mobile Guard in Waterloo, Ontario to provide frontline security services, perform mobile patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, and interact with clients and staff. This part-time position suits individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor and willingness to work night shifts.

Requires a valid Ontario Security Guard License, First Aid/CPR, a clean driver’s abstract with Ontario G license, and at least a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Canada and available to work up to 24 hours per week
• Must have clean driver’s abstract and Ontario Full G license
• Age 25 or older for insurance purposes
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring
• Experience with report writing and note-taking
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity and protect people and property
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, respond to breaches or disturbances
• Inspect buildings and access points, enforce security protocols
• Interact with clients, visitors and employees to provide assistance and information
• Document incidents and actions, report to supervisors promptly
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed
• Maintain accurate logs of patrols and incidents in compliance with policies
• Inspect security equipment, vehicles and supplies for issues
• Perform security risk assessments and recommend improvements
• Participate in training and professional development on security procedures

Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour

Status: Part-Time

Overview

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Mobile Guard Backup in Waterloo, ON to provide professional, front-line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, willing to work night shifts, and a background in mobile security.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 24 hours per week.

• Must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• Valid ON Security Guard License.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate is a must
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.

• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
• Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
