Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Mobile Guard in Waterloo, ON to provide on-site, frontline security services with a focus on customer service. The role supports night shifts and requires a professional demeanor and reliability.

Candidates must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard license, a clean driver’s record and a full G license, and be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 24 hours per week.
• Must provide a clean driver’s abstract and ON Full G license.
• Must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• Valid ON Security Guard License.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity and protect people and property.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms and respond to breaches or disturbances.
• Perform security checks of doors, windows, and entry points to enforce protocols.
• Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing directions and information.
• Report incidents, accidents or hazards to supervisors with documentation of actions taken.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain logs of patrols, incidents, and observations per company policy.
• Inspect security equipment and vehicles and report deficiencies.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and suggest improvements.
• Participate in training to enhance security procedures and response skills.

Overview

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Mobile Guard Backup in Waterloo, ON to provide professional, front-line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, willing to work night shifts, and a background in mobile security.

Specific Duties Performed And Essential Functions

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
• Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
