Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a Mobile Security Guard in Scarborough, Ontario, to perform scheduled and random patrols, respond to alarms, monitor sites, and maintain thorough reports. The role requires Ontario security licensure and a valid first aid certificate.

Applicants should have a clean driving record and 3+ years of driving experience. This full-time position offers opportunities for advancement, daily pay options, uniforms, and license reimbursement, with a reporting line to the Client

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program is required.
• First Aid & CPR Level C certification is required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and random mobile patrols of assigned client properties and locations.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, security incidents, and client requests.
• Monitor properties for unauthorized access, safety hazards, and property damage.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure post orders are followed.
• Provide leadership and coaching to Security Guards when required.
• Communicate security concerns, incidents, and staffing issues to the Supervisor or Manager.
• Ensure patrol vehicles and equipment are maintained and safe.

Education

Post secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program from a recognized college

Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider

Job Description:

• Conduct scheduled and random mobile patrols of assigned client properties and locations.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, security incidents, and client requests.
• Monitor properties for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, safety hazards, and property damage.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure all security procedures and post orders are followed.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and operational support to Security Guards when required.
• Ensure Security Guards comply with Paladin Security policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements.
• Communicate security concerns, incidents, staffing issues, and client concerns to the Supervisor, Field Manager, or CSM.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure the patrol vehicle and security equipment are safe, clean, and properly maintained.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, employees, emergency services, and members of the public while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
• Must possess a valid G Class license with a minimum driving experience of 3 years
• Previous security experience is an asset
• Post Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program from a recognized college
• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health
• Must provide drivers abstract. No more than 2 minor convictions, no major convictions, and no more than 6 demerits in the last three years.
• All successful applicants must undergo a vulnerable sector check
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
