Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring Mobile Security professionals for a full-time role in Vancouver, BC. You will provide professional, front-line security services for a prestigious financial institution, with overnight shifts 1700 - 0100.

Ideal candidates bring experience with access control, alarm monitoring, CCTV, and strong customer service. A BC security guard license, a valid driver's abstract, and the ability to work 40 hours weekly are required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• BC security guard license (valid).
• Eligible to work in Canada, 40 hours per week.
• Must provide a clear driver’s abstract and BC Class 5 licence.
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots and premises.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, responding to security breaches or disturbances.
• Perform security checks of buildings and access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Interact with clients, visitors and employees, providing directions and information.
• Report incidents and hazards to supervisors and authorities, documenting actions.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of patrols and incidents per policy.
• Inspect security equipment and supplies and report deficiencies.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance procedures and response.

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
• Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
