Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Mobile Security Supervisor in Ottawa to lead on-site security operations for a financial institution. The role emphasizes patrols, incident response, and strong client interaction to safeguard people and property.

Qualifications

• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada over 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure safety.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities.
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Interact with clients, visitors and employees, providing assistance, directions and information while enforcing security policies.
• Report any security incidents, accidents or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles and emergency supplies, reporting issues for prompt resolution.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures.
