Job summary

Allied Universal Security Services is seeking a Mobile Security professional for a full-time role in Vancouver, BC. You will perform mobile patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, and interact with clients while enforcing security policies.

The position requires a valid BC security guard license, 40-hour work week, 25+ years old, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Training is provided, with opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
  • Experience with report writing and note-taking.
  • Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
  • Valid BC security guard license.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada; 40 hours per week.
  • Driver's license (BC Class 5).
  • First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity and protect people and property.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and alarms and respond to breaches or disturbances.
  • Inspect doors, windows, and access points for security and compliance.
  • Interact with clients, visitors, and employees while enforcing policies.
  • Document incidents and observations and report to supervisors.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.
  • Maintain logs and records of patrols and incidents.
  • Inspect security equipment and vehicles and report deficiencies.
  • Perform risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in training to enhance security procedures and response protocols.

Overview:

Allied Universal is currently hiring Mobile Security - Full Time in Vancouver, BC to provide professional, front-line security services for a prestigious financial institution. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a background in corporate security.

Requirement:
  • Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions:
  • Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
  • Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
  • Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
  • Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
  • Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
  • Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
