Placements24 is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic to service heavy mining equipment in Kimberley, Northern Cape. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic specializing in heavy mobile plant, particularly mining or construction equipment.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical circuits in heavy machinery.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, interpreting technical manuals, and schematics.
• A strong commitment to safety and adherence to MSHA or equivalent safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in challenging site conditions and varying shifts.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic specializing in heavy mining equipment to join their team in Kimberley . This role is essential for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a fleet of large-scale mining machinery, ensuring operational readiness and safety in a demanding environment. You will work on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems of excavators, haul trucks, loaders, and other specialized equipment. This is a hands-on role critical to the success of our client's mining operations, falling under the broad umbrella of Installation & Maintenance for heavy-duty assets in the Northern Cape .

Key Responsibilities
