Placements24 seeks a seasoned Mining Project Manager to lead major development and operational mining projects in the Kimberley area. You will drive safety, efficiency and sustainability while managing exploration through mine development and optimisation with on-site presence and remote coordination from Kimberley.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Geology, with 7+ years in mining project management, and strong leadership, communication, and regulatory

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Mining Project Manager to lead significant development and operational projects within the mining sector in the Kimberley area. This role is crucial for driving efficiency, safety, and sustainability in mining operations. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from exploration and feasibility studies through to mine development and operational optimisation, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and environmental standards. The role involves a hybrid work arrangement, requiring on-site presence at mine locations while allowing for remote coordination and reporting from Kimberley .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of mining projects, including exploration, development, and operational improvements.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource requirements specific to mining operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations within the mining sector.
• Manage contracts, procurement, and relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
• Lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, fostering a culture of safety and high performance.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies in a complex operational environment.
