Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Laval, QC is seeking a mobile equipment mechanic to maintain, repair and refurbish the fleet across sites, with occasional travel to the Port of Quebec. You will report to the team leader and ensure equipment operates safely and to company standards.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in heavy equipment mechanics, plus PEP certification is an asset and experience with hydraulic systems is valued. You are independent, reliable, punctual and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Travel occasionally to support the team at the Port of Quebec site.

Job Description

We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team inLaval, Quebec, Monday to Thursday from 3:30 p.m to 2:00 a.m.Reporting to the team leader, themobile equipment mechanicis responsible for maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing the fleet, working at various sites and following up regularly with their team leader.

What you’re responsible for:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on mobile equipment (trucks, excavators, loaders, lifts, etc.);
• Perform visual inspections and carry out preventive maintenance according to schedules;
• Replace defective parts and make necessary repairs;
• Ensure that equipment operates safely and in accordance with company standards;
• Travel occasionally to support the team at the Port of Quebec site.
