Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Laval, QC is seeking a mobile equipment mechanic to maintain, repair and refurbish the fleet across sites, with occasional travel to the Port of Quebec. You will report to the team leader and ensure equipment operates safely and to company standards.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in heavy equipment mechanics, plus PEP certification is an asset and experience with hydraulic systems is valued. You are independent, reliable, punctual and a strong team player.

Qualifications

• Diploma in heavy equipment mechanics is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on mobile equipment (trucks, excavators, loaders, lifts, etc.).
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to schedules and replace defective parts.
• Ensure equipment operates safely and in accordance with company standards.
• Travel occasionally to support the team at the Port of Quebec site.
