Job summary
OCS UK & Ireland is seeking Chaperone Technicians to join our Technical Services team on the EOS contract. This mobile role blends chaperone and escort duties with general building-fabric maintenance across designated government sites, with travel within your region and participation in the contract callout rota.
You will escort contractors and authorised personnel, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, ensure safe working practices, and support the wider maintenance team with basic
Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance or handyman roles.
- Skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting/decorating, masonry, locksmith, ceiling grids/tiles.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety and safe systems of work.
- Ability to work independently with a mobile workload and communicate with clients and teams.
Responsibilities
- Carry out chaperone and escorting duties across sites.
- Escort contractors and authorised personnel and report remedial works to engineers.
- Plan, inspect and complete repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance promptly.
- Complete delegated work orders within budgets and SLAs.
- Perform basic general maintenance and handyman tasks.
- Support wider maintenance team and liaise with subcontractors and security.
- Ensure a safe system of work before starting activities.
