Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a Mission Critical Facilities Engineer to perform technical duties under supervision, contributing to cutting-edge data center designs. The role involves coordinating with designers and project teams, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.

Open to any Stantec office location; strong collaboration and design thinking are essential in this fast-evolving field.

Qualifications

Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 5+ years related industry experience preferred.
Registered professional engineer / engineer in training (EIT) or other professional certification preferred.
Data center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops basic system designs within own discipline under supervision of a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer; this includes the ability to offer solutions to general technical problems.
Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
Works with the project team to prepare deliverables per client scope of work.
Coordinates with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests into design.
Follows quality management process; reviews deliverables before QA/AC review.
Assists with shop drawings, RFIs, site observations and punch lists; attends coordination meetings.
Prefers active participation in engineering community for growth.
Assists the Project Engineer on project tasks and meets utilization goals.
