Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a Mission Critical Facilities Engineer to perform technical duties under supervision, identifying project requirements and delivering independent work within one’s discipline. This role offers opportunities on cutting-edge data center projects with exposure to multiple design stages.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years related industry experience preferred.
• Registered professional engineer / engineer in training (EIT) or other professional certification based on area of expertise preferred.
• Data center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops basic system designs within own discipline under supervision of a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer; this includes the ability to offer solutions to general technical problems.
• Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
• Works with project team to prepare deliverables per client’s intent and scope.
• Coordinates with all disciplines to fully integrate work and client requests into design.
• Follows quality management process; reviews deliverables prior to QA/AC review.
• Assists with reviews of shop drawings and submittals, RFI responses, site observation reports and punch lists, attends coordination meetings.
• Participates in engineering/professional community activities for growth.
• Assists the Project Engineer on project tasks.
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
