Role Overview
The Mining Technology Support Specialist will act as the regional expert to support and implement mining technologies. As a key member of the local support team, they will be the first point of contact and act as a consultant for local customers and branch technicians.

Typical Daily Responsibilities
- Perform routine diagnostics and calibration of MineStar components (Fleet, Terrain, Command, Detect, and Health)
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues in technology systems
- Commission and calibrate technologies on-site
- Execute repairs independently or with the service team
- Document site-specific procedures for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of MineStar technologies
- Record and report operational metrics to internal teams and customers
- Collaborate with Toromont, Caterpillar, and customer support teams on projects to improve system performance
- Assess training needs and provide technical training on MineStar systems
- Provide feedback to Caterpillar on system enhancements via Ticket Management Platform (TSC)
- Engage with customers and engineering teams regularly
- Perform other responsibilities as required
Minimum Requirements
- Post-secondary education in computer science, information systems, computer engineering technology, or related field
- Strong computer skills (Networking, programming, troubleshooting)
- Detail-oriented with analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with standards documentation and compliance monitoring
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual in French is an asset
- Knowledge of control and guidance systems, GNSS systems
- Hands-on experience with Caterpillar or heavy equipment support is preferred
- Experience with MineStar operations, mining processes, and Business Intelligence Software is advantageous
