Finning Canada is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics to join the team at the Kearl Facility near Fort McMurray. This full-time, permanent role supports large CAT mining equipment on a 14x14 continuous day and night shift rotation, with camp accommodations and flights provided.

Ideal candidates have Red Seal certification, strong troubleshooting skills, and a dedication to safety in a mining environment. Union membership is expected, with training paid for by Finning.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a recent abstract.
• Experience with CAT mining equipment preferred.

Mining Heavy Duty Mechanics - Kearl Facility - 14x14 - Camp + Paid Flights - Up to $77.99/hr - Fort McMurray, AB

Finning Canada is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics to join their team at the Kearl Facility near Fort McMurray. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity supporting large CAT mining equipment on a 14x14 continuous day and night shift rotation. The ideal candidates will have strong troubleshooting skills, Red Seal certification, and a dedication to safety in a mining environment.

What You’ll Need

• Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
• Valid driver’s license with a recent drivers abstract
• 3rd/4th year HET apprentices may be considered based on experience
• Strong knowledge/experience of 797F C175 haul truck
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Dedication to safety and ability to help drive a strong safety culture
• Completion of all Finning S-level courses
• Strong computer skills including ET and VIMS
• Ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
• Union membership required

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Preference for advanced electrical troubleshooting skills
• Tier 2/4 & C175 series engines experience
• Experience in a mine or industrial setting
