Job summary

Amrize in Alberta, Canada, invites a Mining EIT to join the quarry and plant team to lead the Quarry Expansion Project and support the day‑to‑day operation of a 2.4 mtpa fixed plant. You will perform detailed mine plans, coordinate with contract miners on drill and blast, and conduct field surveys and layout design.

The role requires at least 3 years of mining engineering experience, a Mining Engineering degree, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Agg Flow, Excel, Word and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing engineering services and support in mining.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Agg Flow, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mine plans for limestone, black shale and sandstone.
• Coordinate with contract mining for drill and blast, haul roads, and projects.
• Perform field surveys for blasthole locations and field layout design.
• Inspect quarries and crushing systems for efficiency, maintenance, and safety hazards.
• Assist with selecting mobile and fixed mining equipment to meet plant needs.
• Design haul roads, dewatering systems, blasts, dumps, and quarry structures.
• Ensure mining equipment reliability by supervising mechanics and maintenance.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance and parts procurement.
• Provide shift coverage for Quarry Supervision as needed.
• Promote health, safety and environmental policies across operations.
