Job summary

Discovery Kidd invites applications for a Mine Engineer in Training. Reporting to the Mine Technical Services Supervisor, the EIT will gain hands-on experience across design, scheduling, long‑term planning, ground control and mine systems, helping to support operational success.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience, including co‑op or internship placements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent mining design software.
• Strong Excel skills and data handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support mine engineering functions by contributing to design, planning, and scheduling activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering and Production personnel
• Assist in achieving production, cost, and safety targets
• Ensure strict adherence to site safety standards, environmental policies, and SOPs
• Participate in technical studies, data analysis, and implementation of innovative solutions
