Job summary

ATCO Frontec is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the safe, compliant delivery of mine water treatment operations in Yellowknife, NT. This operational PM role oversees contract and site leadership, client relations, and multidisciplinary teams responsible for water treatment, maintenance, safety, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of project management or operational leadership experience in a mine environment.
• Experience with water or wastewater treatment operations in mining, remediation, industrial, or similarly regulated settings.
• PMI PMP designation or equivalent training is preferred.
• Experience working with Indigenous partners, communities, or joint ventures and building collaborative relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project, maintenance, reporting, or document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and accountability for project delivery, contract performance, client commitments, and operational results.
• Lead teams, including employees and subcontractors, with clear roles, priorities, and expectations.
• Oversee safe operation and maintenance of mine water treatment systems and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with mine health and safety, environmental, water licenses, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Maintain relationships with client, Indigenous partners, and stakeholders; support local employment and capacity development.
• Develop and mentor employees and subcontractors, including cross-training and knowledge transfer.
