Job summary

AECOM seeks a Mining and Industrial Water Treatment Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design and upgrading of water treatment infrastructure for mining and industrial projects. This role supports environmental remediation and long-term sustainability, with project work across Canada’s North and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• P.Eng within Canada.
• 6+ years of mining and industrial water treatment experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and serve as technical advisor to project teams.
• Develop design input for studies, assessments, and detailed designs related to water treatment.
• Develop design approaches, procedures, and technical solutions for high-quality, cost-effective delivery.
• Participate in multidisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
• Develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates for projects.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and other technical deliverables.
• Perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
• Prepare technical specifications and support procurement and tender documents.
• Provide input to project budgets, schedules, and delivery plans.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide direction to junior staff.
