Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mining and Industrial Water Treatment Engineer to lead design and upgrades of water treatment infrastructure for mining and industrial projects across Canada. The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with engineers and clients, and delivering sustainable solutions for environmental remediation.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to site remediation projects in Canada’s North and across offices from British Columbia to Manitoba.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• P.Eng licensure within Canada is required.
• 6+ years of mining and industrial water treatment experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to project teams and act as technical advisor.
• Develop input for studies, assessments and detailed designs related to water treatment.
• Create design approaches, procedures and solutions for cost-effective project delivery.
• Participate in multidisciplinary reviews of deliverables and develop cost/effort estimates.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and other deliverables.
• Support procurement, tender documents and project budgets/schedules.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions and mentor junior staff.
