Job summary

Peter Lucas Project Management is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team near Kamloops, BC. You will provide technical leadership and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering and construction projects in mining and heavy industrial sectors.

Responsibilities include developing scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and execution plans, while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of project experience, preferably in mining.
• Experience managing projects from engineering through construction and commissioning.
• Understanding of project cost, schedule, scope, and change management.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, vendors, and site teams.
• Proficient with MS Project, P6, Excel, or similar.
• Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans that include scope, schedule and budget.
• Review and approve engineering designs, ensuring they meet project specifications.
• Work closely with relevant stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and address any technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare required reports and forecasts.
• Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
• Conduct ongoing risk assessments - identifying and developing strategies to reduce risks
