You will handle preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs and breakdown response across the site, troubleshooting issues before they interrupt production and collaborating with teams to ensure smooth operations.
Founded in Quesnel, BC, in 1955 by three brothers, West Fraser has grown from a 12-person planer mill into one of the largest producers of renewable wood building products, with more than 50 facilities and approximately 10,000 employees across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe. Its scale is global, yet its roots remain local: the founding family’s small-business character still shapes how teams work, how people are treated and how operating communities are supported. West Fraser makes lumber, OSB, plywood, LVL, MDF, particleboard and pulp for homebuilding, commercial construction, industrial uses and interior applications, drawing more value from each log through connected operations and responsible forest practices.

The company works to create safe, inclusive workplaces where employees feel valued, supported and able to grow, with safety serving as a core value and shared responsibility across the organization. That commitment extends beyond the mill gates, with regional teams partnering with local organizations to support basic needs, health and wellness, recreation, education and environmental stewardship, along with the economic, social and environmental priorities of Indigenous Nations. Employees join a company that reinvests in its mills and people, promotes from within and offers career paths across trades, operations, forestry, engineering and professional services.
