Job summary

Interfor is seeking skilled Industrial Millwrights to join our Timmins operation. You’ll maintain, troubleshoot, and improve mill equipment to keep production at peak performance. The role offers $42.81 per hour with a 10-hour shift rotation (Mon–Thu, nights/afternoons/days).

Ideal candidates hold a Red Seal Millwright or Planer Technician certification, bring strong safety discipline, and have sawmill/planer experience. You’ll diagnose breakdowns, repair equipment, and support optimization.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Millwright or Planer Technician certification is required.
• Strong safety background is required.
• Saw mill/planer experience is an asset.
• Good technical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Repair conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic components and automated systems (including welding).
• Identify causes of breakdowns and perform necessary repairs.
• Install/adjust equipment to maximize mill efficiency.
• Respond to emergencies affecting operations.
• Operate machining tools to manufacture parts.

Millwright, Timmins, Ontario

Interfor is looking for skilled, safety‑focused, and motivated Industrial Millwrights to join our team in Timmins. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our mill running at peak performance by maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing industrial equipment across the operation. This position offers competitive compensation at $42.81 per hour and a Monday to Thursday, nights, afternoons and days rotation with 10-hour shifts.

What You’ll Do

• Repair equipment: conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic components, automated systems, etc. (including welding);


• Identify the cause of machinery breakdowns or malfunctions and do the necessary repairs;


• Install/optimize/adjust all the equipment in the mill to maximize its efficiency;


• Respond to emergencies when mechanical breakdowns affect operations;


• Operate machining tools to manufacture parts.
