Qualifications

  • Red seal ticket in good standing is required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mobile equipment hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Familiar with regulatory legislation and safe work practices.
  • Knowledge of maintenance managed systems and processes is a plus.
  • Able to operate in all weather and safety-sensitive environments.
  • Experience with Caterpillar and Detroit diesel engines is preferred.

Job description

Certified HD Mechanic, Timmins, Ontario

Interfor is seeking a skilled, safety-minded, and motivated HD Mechanic to join our team in Timmins, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all mobile equipment throughout the mill to support safe and efficient production operations. The pay starts at $42.81 per hour.

What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine extent of repair costs.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools.
  • Test and repair equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
  • Service attachments and working tools blades, ploughs, winches and buckets.
  • Heavy-duty equipment mechanics repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy-duty equipment used in construction, transportation, forestry.
  • Maintain, service and repair marine vessels.
What You Offer
