Job summary

AGF Rebar in Kitchener is seeking a licensed Millwright for the afternoon shift. You will troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and install equipment, fabricate parts, and weld as needed.

The role requires reading schematics and performing maintenance to keep production running efficiently. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic work, a millwright or electrician license, and experience in high-speed industrial settings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical/electrical/pneumatical/hydraulic experience preferred.
• Licensed Millwright or Electrician preferred.
• Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment.
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow manufacturers specifications and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform immediate repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Overhaul and install new equipment as needed.
• Rebuild and fabricate parts.
• Weld components as required.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
• Perform facility maintenance and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Submit parts requests to maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Create and complete work orders as assigned.
• Conduct equipment changeovers and production line setups.
