Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain and repair heavy mechanical systems on-site. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and fabricate parts as needed to keep operations reliable.

The role requires a Red Seal Millwright (Interprovincial) certification, strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and the ability to read blueprints. Union environment with growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read mechanical schematics, drawings and blueprints.
• Demonstrated problem solving and diagnostic skills.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and replace mechanical systems and related equipment.
• Perform field inspections and preventive maintenance for safe, efficient operation.
• Detect, troubleshoot, and respond to equipment irregularities and issues.
• Anticipate problems and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
• Operate machining tools to fabricate/modify parts as needed.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and company policy compliance.
