Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain and repair mechanical systems at our Edmonton area site. You will perform field inspections, troubleshoot issues, and fabricate parts as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Candidates must hold a Canadian Interprovincial or Red Seal Millwright certification and be able to read blueprints. The role operates in a unionized environment with overtime and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments with emphasis on equipment maintenance and reliability.
• Valid Canadian Interprovincial or Red Seal Millwright certification.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from mechanical schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving skills to diagnose issues and perform technical work using appropriate tools.
• Physically capable of indoor/outdoor work, lifting 50+ lbs, heights, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing/pulling, and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and replace mechanical systems and related equipment to ensure reliable site operations.
• Perform field inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment for safe and efficient performance.
• Detect, troubleshoot, and respond to equipment irregularities, malfunctions, and operational issues.
• Anticipate potential problems and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Operate machining tools to fabricate and modify parts for maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies while following manufacturer maintenance procedures and guidelines.
