Propak Systems Ltd., a leader in engineering and fabrication for the energy sector, seeks Journeyman and Apprentice Millwrights to join its Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB. Flexible shifts include day, evening and weekend day with premium pay for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of directly related work experience.
• Be eligible or registered as an apprentice in Industrial Mechanic (Millwright).
• Motivated and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and equipment using hand and power tools.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery during installation, setup and repair.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment for proper completion and to ensure work is error-free.
• Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
• Listen and be receptive to instructions and work to achieve goals and timelines.
• Apply knowledge to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program.
