Job summary

Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. in Camrose, Alberta is hiring a full-time Millwright/Mechanic to repair, troubleshoot, and install critical machinery. You will interpret blueprints, work on maintenance systems, and contribute to a safety-first environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, planning repairs, and coordinating with the crew to minimize downtime. The position emphasizes problem-solving and commitment to quality workmanship within an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess Red Seal Journeyman or Alberta Journeyman Certificate.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing is an asset.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (days & nights).
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions for scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
• Inspect mill equipment for defects (misalignment, wear, lubrication).
• Determine best repair approach to minimize production interruption.
• Advise on immediate shutdowns to minimize damage when needed.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble and lubricate equipment.
• Adjust equipment for proper operating characteristics.
• Perform temporary or permanent repairs.
• Assemble and align gears, bearings and shafts; apply appropriate fits.
• Collaborate with repair crew on emergencies.
