Job summary

Canplas Industries Ltd. in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking a Millwright to maintain and improve production equipment on a 12-hour continental day shift, 7:00am–7:15pm, with bi-weekly shifts.

You will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot injection molding machinery and related systems. The ideal candidate holds 433A or Red Seal (dual ticket a strong asset) with 3+ years in an industrial setting, and owns basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience with injection molding machines is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of robotics and automation equipment is preferred.
• Provincial or interprovincial Millwright certification required (433A or Red Seal).
• Ability to interpret drawings and schematics; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines, compressed air systems, cooling water systems, and vacuum conveying systems.
• Handle minor electrical repairs and ensure safety procedures including lockout/tagout are followed.
• Follow environmental and waste management guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and take on additional tasks as needed.
