Job summary

Qualifications

  • Hold an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright 433A) Certificate.
  • Have 3+ years of manufacturing or heavy industrial experience.
  • Supply your own tools.
  • Carry out work independently and work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn welding.
  • Show strong commitment to safety and follow all procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and material‑handling equipment.
  • Inspect equipment regularly and identify potential maintenance issues.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine repairs.
  • Read mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • Perform alignment, leveling, rigging, and equipment installation as required.
  • Dismantle, repair, replace, and reassemble mechanical components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Support equipment shutdowns, overhauls, and planned maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all site‑specific safety protocols.
  • Rotate weekly after‑hours on‑call and carry a pager.

What You’ll Do

Millwright Class 1 is responsible for repairing, adjusting, servicing, overhauling, and installing plant machinery and equipment. You will install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems across the facility.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and material‑handling equipment
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications
  • Perform alignment, leveling, rigging, and equipment installation as required
  • Dismantle, repair, replace, and reassemble mechanical components
  • Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and other maintenance equipment
